I can imagine that thousands of Dale Jr. fans are regreting that #8 tattoo they have on their arm right about now.

Earnhardt was all business, yes. Here's a guy who trademarked his name, signature, and nicknames back before some guys had national sponsors. If Dale was around, do you think Jr would be looking for controlling interest?

One thing I don't get. What does Jr. have to add to a company as a controlling interest? What philosophy does he have that requires he have control? I don't beleive he has anything. He doesn't have experience to put into this. It's a control thing, maybe a money thing, not something that it seems like Jr requires or is really even ready for.

His name is Dale Earnhardt and he has the Budweiser sponsor. He could be lacking a brain and drive like a chinese woman and that would still have value.

Sr. was also all about winning. When he was around, DEI had one of the better operations around. Lately, it's been sorely lacking. I think that is what Jr. wanted - the ability to control where the dollars were spent.

Jr wants to drive for an owner that is into racing. Teresa has zero presence at the track or in the garage. Shes never at the races. Shes an absentee owner. its been TEI more than DEI for a while now

For what it's worth, ESPN.com is reporting Joe Gibbs Racing isn't interested in Jr because they don't want to put an alcohol sponsor on their car.
