Reminds me of driving in a 70's buick convertible listening to Toto' Africa.

Crossin' the highway late last night
He shoulda looked left and he shoulda looked right
He didn't see the station wagon car
The skunk got squashed and there you are!

    You got yer
Dead skunk in the middle of the road
Dead skunk in the middle of the road
You got yer dead skunk in the middle of the road
    Stinkin' to high Heaven!

Take a whiff on me, that ain't no rose!
Roll up yer window and hold yer nose
You don't have to look and you don't have to see
'Cause you can feel it in your olfactory

    You got yer
Dead skunk in the middle of the road
Dead skunk in the middle of the road
You got yer dead skunk in the middle of the road
    Stinkin' to high Heaven!

Yeah you got yer dead cat and you got yer dead dog
On a moonlight night you got yer dead toad frog
Got yer dead rabbit and yer dead raccoon
The blood and the guts they're gonna make you swoon!
    You got yer
Dead skunk in the middle of the road
Dead skunk in the middle of the road
You got yer dead skunk in the middle of the road
    Stinkin' to high Heaven!

    C'mon stink!

    You got it!
It's dead, it's in the middle
    Dead skunk in the middle!
Dead skunk in the middle of the road
    Stinkin' to high heaven!
All over the road, technicolor man!
    Oh, you got pollution
It's dead, it's in the middle
And it's stinkin' to high, high Heaven!

My parents sat on the back deck on summer nights under the stars drinking wine and listening to Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Moody Blues, and even some very old/early Neil Diamond. I was about 5, and curled up on an indian blanket at their feet. I loved all of it. We didn't talk, we just listened (and they got hammered). :1luvu:

Honestly, as a kid, I probably liked Cracklin Rosie & Tuesday Afternoon more, but I've been able to sing the words to every one of my Dad's favorite Dylan songs since I was that age. And he recently gave me his signed copy of the White album, which brought all of that back. Some great childhood memories there.

(sorry I didnt have anything sarcastic to say)

I know exactly what you're talking about. with me it was Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferon, the beatles, Neil Diamond and Kenny Fucking Rogers. I remember being around 10 or so and watching Jesus Christ Superstar and thinking, man this is kinda weird.

I remember all of these as well as a kid. I remember Jesus Christ Superstar and thinking it was something bad because they were using Jesus in the title.

All of that music above brings back great memories, but it was from my older bros and sisters because my Mom and Dad were older, so their music was more along the lines of The Carter Family, Chuck Wagon Gang, Lynn Anderson, and then Lena Horne and the 40's and 50's music. I'm grateful for that too.
