    getting younger means rebuilding......

I don't like it at all......he must have really pissed some people off, because we really did need him this year.

Numbers be damned? You only say that because you were clueless about the numbers being so similar. And you were clueless about that precisely because you don't have the first fucking idea what you're talking about. KJ was very much in the mold of what Moose did for this team previously.
    Wrong.
That's just a lie. For you to even suggest that teams walked a safety up the majority of plays, much less the majority of the time to Keyshawn's side is absolute lunacy. It makes you look like an idiot, seriously. Someone with more knowledge would be able to fabricate a more believable lie. But while I'm pointing out your errors, I think it was really cool that in consecutive sentences you said that safeties were both rolled away from Keyshawn and also walked up to Keyshawn's side. We obviously either played teams with magical safeties that could exist in two places at once, or those new defenses that play three safeties at a time.
#1) No, we weren't. We have plenty of cap room.
#2) KJ wasn't signed for "the next few years," so that period of time would be irrelevant to his presence in 2007.
They aren't fucking connected. How stupid are you? Is there a special retarded language in which I should translate the message "we have plenty of crap room"? Maybe "dee dee dee, dee duh dee."
No need. Dude, you can't even lie with any competency because you lack the basic level of comprehension to put out some believable bullshit. Quite clearly the absence of a knowledgeable ball-buster like myself has allowed you to develop delusions of grandeur, but please avoid the temptation and stay within the limits of your understanding. Don't try to pretend like you have more insight than you do.
I don't bump threads of arguments I win against people who actually know something. With you, I won't even remember that we argued. Hell, for that matter I don't know that it's an argument so much as a massacre given that you don't even grasp the basic statistics involved and can't maintain consistency between the claims in one sentence and the next.
You are so dense that it makes my head hurt. A possession receiver, even a slow one, is nothing at all like a pass catching TE. They run different routes at different levels, the possession receiver will almost always have superior skills, and they're targeted with much greater frequency. They're two totally different situations, even if you have a good TE, and I would expect anyone with even the most basic football knowledge to understand that. Instead you made a pretty pathetic quip about Keyshawn's speed that only succeeded in highlighting your own ignorance. Congratu-fucking-lations.

--There is a lot of talk over the question, is Johnson better than Colbert (his roster replacement most likely) or Jarrett/Carter (his starting replacement)--

There ought to be. Possibly Jarrett can do something, but we know Colbert is garbag, and with all the excitement over Carter, he really hasnt amounted to shit.

The real question is, is he better to have on the team than Jenkins? Let me see, 34 year old WR, or 27 year old DT......

Its not close to the real question. Thats just a seperate issue.

The Panthers don't believe in a load up for the next year philosophy. They believe in a substainable talent base for years to come.

Lets not turn this into a philosophy thing defending the Panthers here, because a year ago, Hurney begged Johnson and paid him far more than anyone else to come to this very stadium.

There are WR's on the roster that can step up.

    We hope so.

    Likely one of them will.

Carter hasnt come close to showing he can do anything other than run a straight line and drop catchable balls....Colbert certainly cant even stay on the damn field. So were hoping one of our rookies can do it.

This doesn't end the season you big babies, any more than having to start a 7th round rookie ended it for the Saints last year.

I agree its painful to watch the stupid "were going to be 6-10 now" comments. But there is a right to be pissed about the move. He wasnt worthless to this team by any means, and he brought a lot to the table.

Are we a worse team today, yes. Luckily we don't play anyone today. Will we be a better team in the future, most likely.

Again, thats just being presumptuous. THere is reason to be untrusting, or certainly at least weary of the personnel decisions, considering we havent had a back to back winning fucking season around here.

Though it will most likely cost us a game or two this season.

Oh, thats all? Cool. And to think I was miffed. We didnt need a game or two last season to get into the playoffs, so thankfully that wont matter.

It isn't nearly as important or scary as not having a decent TE, or SS on the roster, and that problem has been there for well over a year now.....all last season and we were 2-3 stupid plays away from the playoffs.

    2-3 stupid plays, 2-3 games....thats all.

Sucks to loose his run blocking.....other than that, no big loss

Last time we lost Moose's run blocking, we overpaid to try and replace it. Funny how we forget.

Nothing more than that. I liked Key, but I was not in the locker room nor in the front office.

Richardson did not like some of the things happening. It's called priveledge of ownership. Nothing new, it happens all the time.

I expect Solarte to step forward and state that S. Smith (among others) was unhappy with Key. Smith may or may not say it in the media, but he was unhappy with Key hanging out others.

You don't want Key passing on his attitude to a new receiver. Sweep out the locker room before bringing in the new guys.

No pics, no sources quoted, just facts.

I'm just coming in here and there are five more pages of posts yet to read but my first impression is that this post is on the money.

    Still, I'm fairly shocked.
