solomon wilcotts and adam shine are ripping the panthers. saying that we aren't a better team this year without him.

there's no amount of perspective I can put on this that would make Colbert good enough to cut Keyshawn for.

He got deactivated for Taye Biddle.

I think Hurney and Fox lay out the company line - nothing else.

Is Hurney really ever gonna say 'he was an asshole'?

No. But Key has been an asshole. Alot more than Hurney and Fox have.

let's start some rumors on other boards.

mine is that in recent negotiations with steve smith, smitty said that he didn't want any doubt that he's the best WR on the team so he wanted keyshawn gone or he wouldn't resign.

I think it is apparent that they are pretty high on Jarrett. Maybe they didn't think Key would graciously accept a mentor role if he was the 3rd guy. Do you think he would become a malignancy in the locker room or to the rooks if demoted?

not when he was nutting his pants over being able to mentor him. I don't see why you throw rookies in there right away anyways. Keyshawn had to think they would phase Jarrett in when he was so high on the pick.

you either need to cut back on your meds or increase them to their proper dosage. That deal ain't happening. The 'Skins would be stupid to do it.

Back to throwing Jake under the bus, anybody think key's pimping Quinn at 14 was the last straw in all this?

    Colbert's Rookie Year

    47 receptions - 754 yards - 5 TD

    Key last year

    70 receptions - 815 yards - 4 TD

Key seems to be a slightly better Colbert in his rookie year. Takes a lot of the sting out. I think Key's biggest asset to us was his being a vet and teaching our young guys. Seems that's the last thing the panthers wanted. Like I've said before if Jarrett can have a rookie Colbert year or better we're good.
