    Its not like Key was all world here in Carolina. He sure seemed to show a loss of pace and was at the center of some crucial controversial "drops".

    And while I had the feeling both the Panther FO and Key were waiting till after draft day before we got an offical response to his status i honestly thought the drafting of Jarrett was a perfect fit while at the same time keeping Key.

    Had we drafted Ginn at 14 i honestly was expecting it, weird.

    Still think waiting till training camp would have been the wiser.
    Have we gained anything by releasiing Key now? Cap space?

    HAHAHAHA.

    Key tried to talk Jarrett into staying his senior year, too.

    Jarrett = 6'4" 36.5" vertical.

    or maybe he's not the kind of influence they wanted around their new young receiver. maybe they prefer that Jarrett not leave his QB hung out to dry and taking all the shit for his mistakes. maybe they'd prefer that he become a team player and own up to his mistakes (and maybe learn to not make so many after a few years in the league ... which was my biggest disappointment about the guy. you don't expect a veteran to be making so many key mistakes).

    as far as Key being humiliated ... apparently he knew the team was having an issue with him and this could happen. a nice smile isn't going to draw much sympathy here.
