Kinda cool. Still, nobody mentions that the Nasdaq is worth half what it was 7 years ago.

S&P is on the verge of getting back to it's high from 2000 - that's a milestone IMHO.

Nasdaq was a bubble. The value was never there so of course it hasn't gotten back.

Doesn't change the fact that the equity was lost. Dow was a bubble in '29 - and didn't get back to its '29 high for 25 years. That's a pile of suck right there. Wouldn't be unreasonable for the Nasdaq to need another 10-15 years.

Nasdaq 100 LOL. Wasn't this one of the first ETFs? Fucker went down like Holly B.

The all-time highs for the index, set at the height of the dot-com bubble in 2000, stand above 4700 points, while its recent bear market lows in 2002 occurred below the 900 point level.

    So - 4700 to 900. YAY!

Dumb-luckest move of my life was selling all non-retirement stocks in summer 2000 to buy my house. I didn't own the qqq though.

    Apple.

    Closed around $100 today.

The company has been dead TWICE in the last 15 years and has come back from the fucking grave each time.

I hope someone here bought that shit @ $6 a while back.

Dow > 14000 today so far. Is this finance or fortune telling? Dow up despite bad news from some large banks as so called experts think the bad news may mean a future rate cut. Unbelievable.
