    yeah, too many actions by people are simply serving the mystery and not their own purposes. it's laziness on the part of the writers, seems to me.

    For those of us that like to watch live, if I could kill people in commercials and people that make them, there would be a lot of dead people right now. 5 minutes of commercials for 10 minutes of show is fucking insane.     Theory...the Hanso Foundation stumbled upon an island with strange magnetic properties by accident. They figured a way to come to and from the island and set up camp. Then, they happened upon the survivors of the Black Rock, who had been living on the island for 100 years. The two groups merged and happily coexisted. Some years later, the Black Rock folks overthrew the Hanso folks and are now the others...the've been running fertility tests in order to ensure their future existance because the island's properties have slowly ruined any chance for their group to survive. That's why they recruited Juliette...she figured a way to get her sister preggers even when her womb shriveled up into dust after cancer.

    Now, the plane crashed and there's a whole host of experiments waiting to happen....
