    Sorry if this has been done before...

    Knight Rider - when they made KITT into a convertable and added "super pursuit mode"

    SeaQuest DSV - when they encountered a 100 foot tall version of Neptune

    A Team - when they added the hispanic guy and went to work for the man from uncle

    X Files - when they replaced Mulder with T2.

    Dukes of Hazard - when they replaced Bo and Luke with Coy and Vance.

    Battlestar Galactica (reimagined) - not sure yet but I think it is was when they skipped ahead a year on New Caprica, if not that then definately when they encountered Jimi Hendrix in space.

    When Magnum "died" and was walking away in the clouds at the end of the season and then the first episode of the next season started with Higgins calling him back to his body it jumped the shark. Still a great show though.
