Don Imus

I may be out of line, and I may be alone in my opinions, but the NAACP has really gotten out of hand. Don Imus has been dropped by just about all of the organizations that supported him because of one slip. I am not condoning his comments in any way. What he said was obviously out of line, but was it seriously bad enough to lose everything over. Imus has a job that requires him to fill an unbelievable amount of airtime. He is payed to sit there and ramble for hours at a time on various subject. Is it so unbelievable that he had one slip up in all this time he has been on the air.
Sharpton saying that we do not have to denegrate races to be creative. I did a little research and found that Sharpton is being slightly hipocritical in his accusations.

Crown Heights Riot
The Crown Heights Riot occurred after a car accident involving the motorcade for the Lubavitcher Rebbe killing a young boy, Gavin Cato. A riot was sparked after a private Hasidic ambulance came to the scene and, on the orders of a police officer, removed the Hasidic driver from the scene. Gavin Cato and his cousin Angela were picked up soon after by a city ambulance. Caribbean-American and African-American residents of the neighborhood then rioted for four consecutive days fueled by rumors (in part driven by Sharpton), [7], [8], that the private ambulance had refused to treat Cato. [9]

Sharpton became the de-facto representative for the Cato family. During the funeral he referred to "diamond merchants" considered a code word for Hasidic Jews [10] [11], for shedding "the blood of innocent babies" leading marchers shouting "No Justice No Peace". Sharpton did not start the riots but his rhetoric was seen as inflammatory and unhelpful in easing the tension between the black and Jewish communities. A visiting rabbinical student from Australia by the name of Yankel Rosenbaum, 29 years old, was killed during the rioting by a mob shouting "Kill the Jew". [12] - (Wikipedia).

Here Sharpton sparked riots by using a slang term for jewish people. Imus's remarks were wrong but I don't think anyone was killed over them.

I am just as amazed about Jesse Jackson. When given the opportunity to apologize to the Duke Lacrosse players for his role in inflaming the situation with his uninformed responses, he decided to castigate the college "boys" for their decision to invite a stripper in the first place.

Now, ain't that something! He was morally outraged that some college guys chose to have strippers at a party, yet, as a mature, wizened, media savvy minister, he has an affair that resulted in a child destroying his family, his credibility and any stance that affords him to judge anyone else's morals.

The man his no limits!

 

Don Imus is a gay racist jerk who should be sent to prison for life. I hate him for what he did. I mean this is 2007 not 1847. He thinks cause he is white he we should all bow down. What a loser and may he rot .

 

You know the Duke guys were guilty and they got off cause they was rich and white... you know it and every American knows it!
