he's at Lancaster. right now he's the sixth rated prospect in the farm and second rated starter behing Clay Buchholz. Don't know how accurate scouting reports for minor leaguers are as far as timetables go, but his ETA to the bigs is 2009. he throws a hard fastball but lacks movement and needs to improve the control of his other pitches.

I think that most of the good pitching prospects are going to be in Greenville for at least some period of time. That's why the Sox helped build the park and made it an exact repolica of Fenway - so that the pitchers can learn how to pitch there - especially getting used to the wall.

He was lights out in the CWS. Threw nothing but fastballs for like 3 innings. They were between 95-98 on ESPN's gun, if I remember correctly.

It's only the Royals, sure, but Matsuzaka is tossing a pretty good game. six innings, one run on six hits, eight strikeouts and only one walk (he was getting kinda wild toward the end of spring training.). Gave up a homer leading off the sixth.

Schill bounced back with a dominant outing last night. The bullpen tried to blow it but, as always, Paplebon cleaned up their mess for them.
