Roy mass recruited for 2006. Duke's class situation is different than UNC's for a lot of reasons. UNC will have one recruit for the class of 2007 because of Graves redshirting. The big thing that is different with Duke is that half of the class that UNC recruited is probably going to leave early. The whole 2006 class for Duke will stay either all 4 years or Gerald Henderson might leave after his junior year if he just turns into a superstar. It could happen but they all look like solid 4 year players. Singler could leave early, but for the most part Duke has looked for players that will stay till they are at least juniors. There are exceptions of course (like McRoberts, Brand, Maggette, Deng etc.) but Duke players are normally known as system players that Coach K knows will excel in his system. Lawson will leave after his sophomore year. Hansbrough will not leave. He might leave after his junior year but I wouldn't doubt if he stayed all four years. Wright is gone in my opinion. UNC will be getting multiple players in the class of 2008 while Duke will be only able to get 1 or 2 guys. Good thing that that guy is looking like Monroe who is exactly what Duke needs

Good points absolutely right in everything you said... shows why coach K graduates as many players as anyone in the nation... also shows why coach k is better at recruiting then roy williams... he will never win a national championship with the players he gets... they will be good and they will turn into stars but will all leave early

I don't give a rat's ass about how UNC is 'going to be shitty', but I sure as shit won't take your evaluation seriously. You're too busy kissing K's ass and proclaiming Duke's glorious McD's All-Americans to give an objective analysis. You're in for a world of hurt when the regulars come by today. I bet the Dukies won't care for you too much either.

Exactly. And we lost our top 7 players, right? And still made the NCAA's, right? And, for good measure, we even won a game.

Perhaps you can explain to me how the quality of the people who are staying affects the talent level of the incoming freshmen. Because by your osmosis theory, David Noel would have to unquestionably be the greatest player in NCAA history.

It was a hell of a lot more than 4% or whatever it was UNC had coming back in 05, was it not?

dook wasn't even close to the best defense in the country. Hell, using the defensive effeciency ratings on pomroy, they weren't even the best team in the rivalry.

And trying to use the "well, we were young" argument when talking about UNC is pretty laughable, because - if anything, UNC was younger than dook.

I'm not talking about that team, because it is not even a close comparison to this year's dook team. Your 95 team would have been a better comparison to that team, and they faired just about the same. Now, how did UNC do in 2005?

I wouldn't count on that trend continuing, if I were you.

Were they strong this year? That was pretty much the whole point of the "how'd those McD's all americans help them this year" comment.

Well vp pretty much said just about everything I wanted to. Other than this dueky is a moron, and my other question is...

What two fucking "big men" are coming to dook this year. There's a CHANCE for Patterson, but its SERIOUSLY looking like he goes to UF.

Here's a link to Duke's commits... I see 2 Small forwards and a Shooting Guard.

    http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=167&p=9&cfg=bb&c=8&yr=2007

    So please explain.

Um I wanted to go to the NBA outta high school, but this year proved they weren't ready. Hansbrough has gone on record as saying he'll be back. Lawson said he's coming back, and Ellington was never realistically an option, because he wouldn't be drafted.

Good to know you know your recruits and all consider Smith is considered a defensive stopper and not a scorer

once again... considering he's a small forward and will probably have to start at Center for Dook I'm not overly concerned. Its not like he really did that much in the McDonalds game is it? Then again you probably don't even know how he played in that game.

He didn't this year so why should he next?

Um Paulus automatically subtracts any credibility you have with that statement.

Wow... you may be the stupidest Dukey to come here in a long time. I thought it was suckit, but seriously you may have it. Lets go down the list. Singler ain't shit as a PF, and never has been, and was recruited by coach K as a 3. Which basically means he was told he would be playing the Small Forward position. Regardless even if you say he's a PF (which he's not, but will be FORCED to play) then where's that other "bigman" you talked about? Does he suddenly not exist? We're in fucking comic book land now people a dude has apparently ceased existing. Some Infinite Crisis shit going on here.

Furthermore here's a little something extra for you who seems so wise as to UNC not getting anyone in this year. William Graves of UNC had to redshirt this year due to so much talent on UNC's roster. Which means he'll be an incoming Freshmen. He WAS top 150 of his class and he scored 30 points while Nolan Smith was attempting to guard him, and he was the ONLY real option on his HS team, while Smith had players like Beasley to help him.

I'd also like to know where in the Fuck you saw Singler play?

And another thing, while Paulus shot did improve, Duke doesn't need another wing shooter, they need a PG that won't turn the ball over, and guess what... they don't have one coming in and no one on the roster to prevent that.

Frankly dook will be carrying 7 McDonald's HS All Americans and will potentially be worse than they were last year.

now that is a dumb statement... frankly carrying 7 mcd's AA and be worst then they were last year not having lost but one player and gaining atleast three... the other big man i was referring to is in hope that we get Patterson so therees you fairy tale shit you punk bitch... Your actually right when you say Singler is a three... hes a tall three but a three but as i said he will play a 4 at Duke that can shoot. He will be a Mike Dunleavy. I agree Paulus was bad this year with turning the ball over. But Nolan Smith will help run the point even though hes a shooting guard. He is very good at protecting the ball and will come to Paulus aid. Duke is going to be athletic next year as well. I watched Singler play in Oregon on a trip to Portland. Smith did have Beasley to help him but Beasley is a ball hog. He only makes passes when he feels he needs to throw it behind his back. At all other times all he does is shoot threes.
