    ok so this is mostly just a vent, but if you want to comment on my situation by all means..

    i started taking xanaxs recreationally when i was about 18 or 19.... but i have had depression and anxiety problems all my life. ive told the doctors about these problems when i was younger but i was never offered any help (either cause my parents insurance sucked or i never pressed the issue when i was younger)
    so i have been using xanax recreationally and as selfmedication for about 5 years (im 23) and since i do electrical work and have a family i cant afford insurance my self, so i order the xanax from canadian rx or get them from people i know.
    well as of late i havent been able to find/ afford them and im getting pretty worn out its been about 5 months since i last had some and b4 that the longest ive gone without was 3 months i think....

    so does anyone know any other medication that works similar to xanax?
    if so what is it called?

    and ps dont say canabis cause that dosnet work anymore, that what ive been using the last few months.

    It's comforting to know that someone who does electrical work AND has a family is using xanax recreationally. Don't accidentally touch a live wire or drop your kid while you're fucked up, then you'll really have something to be depressed about.

    There's plenty of places to get it. Careful, though. That shit is very easy to build a tolerance for and can be pretty majorly habit forming.

    Plus, it's a band-aid for a deeper problem that's likely only getting worse.

    Now - excuse me while I drink my 9000000th espresso for the day.

    I've never had a doctor that would give me anything. I have a hard time getting antibiotics when I get a sinus infection even though I hardly ever get sick.

    I would love to get my hands on some good fresh valium purely for recreational purposes. :10:

    Xanax is in a class of drugs called benzodiazepines. (Do a google search.) There are several out there that work like Xanax, but this class of drugs is one of the most addictive you can get your hands on.
