Everyone's still scared of being sued by McCartney in 2027, so it had to be 'Tomorrow'.

If you didn't appreciate the magnitude of the hope versus hopelessness dichotomy, and Owen's character transformation then you don't get the movie.

Not saying that's wrong or right; it just is. It's not a movie for everyone.

I thought it was disturbingly excellent. Left me uneasy with the lack of recognizable redemption, and most people bred on hollywood are gonna hate all the intentionally loose ends.

Disagree completely. That boat was the flagship of the Human Project. What else would they call it? That was their whole mission.

The only cheesy thing in the movie would have been spoon feeding the setting. It hardly matters and would only obfuscate the point.

8.5/10 Not the best movie I've seen, but a very good one. It got a full extra point for the incredible camera work and long takes. It's been a long, long time since I've seen single shots that last for 10 minutes at a time. And to do it during main action sequences? It's almost unprecedented.

The entire shooting style was gritty, but not excessive, and as the director said, it was reality intensified. The sets were fantastic. The whole thing really, really worked, and almost never felt artificial.

PS - Don't watch the documentary bonus feature unless you want to see a bunch of ultra-leftist philosophers criticize capitalism for preaching fear, while they attempt to scare you to death about the future climate. You'll either get pissed or find yourself running for the phone to buy land in Alaska.

They actually use the term "weaponization of urban space". If you've got a point to make about societal barriers that might have some legitimacy, it's completely deflated by such overkill.

I agree. I think it was a pointless idiotic boring movie - it had "depth" for the masses. IMHO, typical hollywood, not anti-hollywood...

go see namesake for a real movie.

This movie could have been made just as well as a 15 minute youtube clip. Slow is an understatement. I came away totally underwhelmed.

The only saving grace are the sets. Totally believable, but not something I would care to watch ever again.
