Although I'm not a Christian, I'm pretty familiar with the Bible. An odd question just occurred to me.

I know that for Christians, the coming of Christ changed the whole ball game as far as salvation goes. I understand the concept of Christ having paid the price for mankind's sinfulness & that therefore the Old Testament ritual sacrifices became unnecessary.

What I'm wondering is, why don't modern Jews still adhere to the old laws of animal sacrifice? Christians accept Christ's sacrifice in place of those old rituals. But one would think, since Jews do not accept Jesus as the Messiah, that they would still be bound by those laws.

    Anyone know?

I've been wondering that myself. Makes sense, though. Thanks for digging that up and posting it, Builder.

I had heard it before because I asked. I know that Christians have the "grace of God" thing. I didn't know about the Temple thing. Hence, the reason the holy land is so important to Christians and Jews.
