All arguments about draft position aside this is a pretty important milestone for the franchise. They are only four or five games out of the last playoff spot. If they had stayed healthy all year they would be right there.

Here is hoping for a good draft and for a good job signing free agents and the new coach.

I agree. They look like a half decent basketball team. Why didn't Walter Hermann play all freaking year? We need a decent coach please for next year. And here's hoping the karma gods give the Bucks/Celts/Grizz what they deserve for tanking (even though I was in favor of tanking as well).

Hermann looked lost most of the year is why he didn't play. It seems he's got himself acclimated to the NBA now and to be honest has been embarrassing Morrison. Brandon Roy looks a lot better now...

I know that's the "official" story, but as someone with an interest in european prospects, I watched Hermann's numbers carefully. He never even sniffed playing time, it doesn't make sense that on a team like the Bobcats we couldn't find him 10 minutes a game to at least see how "lost" he was. He must have been horrendous in practice. Morrison hit the wall full blast about the all-star break. Im hoping he can put some weight and strength on his frame, I haven't completely written him off yet. I'm sure he learned a lot this year, 7 assists from him last night including a nice fourth quarter.

Hermann though does look like the "rookie" star on this team right now. I heard he's shooting over 60% the past 12 games, amazing. Here's hoping we wrap up Wallace, Okafor, and Hermann this offseason. Add a Durant or Oden to this team and we'll make the playoffs for sure next year. We might make it without either of those two.

Even if they miss out on the big two they will have a high draft pick to add to their mix, a new coach and probably at least one premiere free agent. Next year should be a playoff year.

If they can get a top five pick, get Tornoto's pick and sign a decent free agent in the off season, I don't see any reason this team couldn't post a winning record next year.

I really don't want them to draft Noah. I don't think he will be a good pro player. I've heard that we are looking real hard at that huge Chinese player.
