    I'm about to put my house on the market and should have about 70K after. It may be 6 months before I buy something else. What should I do with it in the meantime?

    Save it. Since you want to keep it liquid just put it in some sort of savings account.

    Six month maturity CDs are pretty common. I hope you lived in that house for at least two years......

    I'd put it in an ING account. Check it out. They are giving about 5% and you can take the cash whenever you want...not like a CD.

    My CPA just recommended ingdirect.com to me. I've asked acouple people about it. No one had anything bad to say.
