Good luck. My guess for the National league is either LA or SD.

Dodgers have the best team I've seen in LA in a while. Solid pitching, solid hitting = NL West champs

Now why doesn't this thread run like the Red Sox thread? :wheelchair:

b/c only myself and you care about the Dodgers. I only posted this thread last year to spite all the Braves and Sox fans.

What do you wanna talk about? Our lineup is awesome this year, just hope we can stay healthy.

Joe Beimel - needs to prove he's worth keeping, should have a good year
Chad Billingsley - same, he needs to prove his worth
Yhency Brazoban - nice setup pitcher
onathan Broxton - streaky, see what he offers this year, he might be traded
Mark Hendrickson - if he repeats last year, he will be traded
Hong-Chih Kuo - this will be his breakout year
Brad Penny - had a few issues last year, hopefully he redeems himself
Takashi Saito - Eric Gagne who? Saito is a solid closer
Jason Schmidt - my favorite off season pickup, just a solid pitcher
Brett Tomko - need production this year from him

Mike Lieberthal - backup catcher, he'll mentor Martin, good pair
Russell Martin - solid rookie season

Wilson Betemit picked up from the Braves late last year, he should be good
Rafael Furcal - hes hurt right now, but should be ready end of April
Nomar Garciaparra - new father, consistant hitter
Jeff Kent - "The Stashe" always solid, hall of famer for sure
Andy LaRoche - see what he's made of
James Loney - kid can play anywhere and hit anywhere
Ramon Martinez - another hitter and can play anywhere
Olmedo Saenz - mostly pinch hitter, but will back up Nomar on days off

Marlon Anderson - solid fielder, see how his bat is this year
Andre Ethier - solid year last year, hope he improves
Luis Gonzalez - he'll mentor the young guys too, I like this pick up
Matt Kemp - solid fielder, played great winter ball
Juan Pierre - Speed Speed Speed, great hitter and can cover center field
Jason Repko - he's got a glove, just needs to improve his hitting

Solid roster of veterans and youngsters this year. I like the mix, and with the solid defenseman we have, we shouldn't commit as many errors. Just hope we can hit the ball more than last year.

Cool, that looks pretty damn good...I'm too scared to get my hopes up though, they've underacheived a lot the past 15 or so years. But the mix does look pretty promising. Thanks man.

eh, I see your opinion but the fact is, we've gone to the playoffs the last 2 years. We tanked in the playoffs, but we're improving. 2 years ago was terrible with Tracy and prior management. This is Ned Colleti's 2nd year, along with Grady's, so we'll be better. We should win the west. I can appreciate your disappointment though, I was only 6 when we won the WS in 1988, and we haven't done much of anything since.

I remember the Tommy Lasorda days, and the arguably the best infield of all time, Garvey, Lopes, Russell, Cey and Yeager...those days are hard to beat, and Oh yeah that was an awesome series in 88...*sigh*

I'll have to be more optimistic this year though, I'll work on it. :cool3:
