Is that why most major league execs consider it major league baseball?

Matsui and Ichro worked out pretty good and Matsuzaka is better than both.

And Steve Phillips said Matsuzaka is top 10 pitchers in MLB right now and will probably move up to the top 6 by the second half of the season.

This is not speculation or hype, he dominated the World Baseball Championship and has been extemely well scouted over the past 2-3 years.

That's about the only sensible thing you've said in this thread.

I would love to see where he said this.

Bobby is still coaching in Japan and today on ESPN radio Tim Kurkjian quoted Valentine as saying that the Japanese league is so good now that every Japanese everyday player could make a MLB team roster.

That doesn't sound like triple A ball to me.

Bobby Valentine even said it's like minor league baseball in America

    Still waiting.

Then why aren't more of them coming over? The money is certainly better. I'll eat crow when that statement is true, I am really stubborn and probably won't eat crow anyways :37:

A lot of players in Triple A have played in the Big Leagues to. There are more Japanese players coming over. Don't know why there weren't as many coming over in the 90's and 80's. Japan has always loved baseball.
