Nope. I got a friend who's been in the business more than twice what your wife has been and you better believe a 34% drop in overall listeners is a factor with anyone buying airtime.

Obviously demographics are big but they are not just looking for men 25-54, they are looking for men 25-54 with disposable income and that is a part of their demographic they have turned off with their ridiculous format and "personalities".

They certainly give "2 flying fucks" about losing over 1/3 of their listeners...especially when it gets published in a Business Journal. That is a nightmare for them.

 

I'm sorry....they are 2 in the market place...25-54 Men. That's what they sell period. Fox is probably 1 and they cost a hell of a lot more.

Do you talk to your friend as much as I do my with my wife? Does he come home at night and share with you the ins and outs of his job every day? Do you help him come up with proposal ideas and help go over the billing at the end of the month to make sure he got paid correctly?

Maybe he does. So I guess that means you really know what you're talking about.

This may be accurate, but it is a very precarious perch. The minute that a real sports show airs on any station, those ratings will dive faster than a fat chick on a desert dish. The show is absolutely unlistenable outside of a few guests that Fudge Senior's name manages to land for Jr.

It's also foolish for that egomaniac to go on pretending that he didn't piss off half of his potential audience when he had Czaban & Penner kicked off the station. Those fans remember and won't forgive his ego.

 

His friend may not, but are you sure your wife doesn't?

 

I seriously doubt Billy is why Packer gets guests. hes not the most well-liked person in sports himself.

 

Shit...I'm not even a fan of the show...but Czaban was on in the morning YEARS ago and Penner's show didn't do much with the ratings. Doubt most of Pack's listeners even REMEMBER Czaban.

 

I think a lot of people remember Steve. He adopted this city before he left Chicago and he really liked it here. I have traded emails with him since he left and he is very candid about why he left and also about how much he liked the city. He has many listeners that followed him from his Charlotte days.

 

But he's still connected and he pulls ALL the big name guests for Mark...or has connected them at some point.
