you can turn signatures off, for what that's worth. You can go as far as to disable avatars or pictures completely, at this or that place. I agree the signatures there are annoying.

I'm not trying to trash this board. I think it has a different culture than panthershuddle and can be fun to read. I just got tired of reading threads and then all of the sudden watching collin hijack them and turn 3/4 of the threads in this forums into childish bickering for a page or three. I also believe that a large number of potential posters feel the same way and express that belief by going elsewhere to discuss the panthers.

 

I for one would be glad they're gone then, I come here and post here because the content is hard core and much more accurate then the fluff at other boards including at times my own other board.

nobody who belongs here is going elseware to post, if you don't like the page after page Collin vs the world posts do what I do "STOP FUCKING READING IT!!"

 

Collin is good at weeding out the weak.

If Collin were here, this thread would be 22 pages.

I guess I never even considered that people might not like it here bucuase I honestly couldn't care less. I don't mean it in any sort of elitest way but it's just never crossed my mind to want more people just for the sake of more people. If someone wants to post here I want them to post here. If not I don't care if you go post somewhere more to your liking.

 

you, linda and a few other mailing list type people mostly. which I can catch elsewhere too.

There's plenty of people there that I've scared off personally, which is funny. Whether it be here or the Lair, there are actually a number of people whose feelings got hurt on a message board enough to take their ball and go home. I don't want people to leave anywhere - for that or other reasons - but I can't be caught up in numbers. Some people can't hang and they shouldn't try.


So why is it that people get this bent out of shape over Collin? That seems to be the overlying complaint - more noticeably after he's been done, not surprisingly. He's too heavy handed and I don't like that either, but what's with people going around this much past something happening being all sore over it?

By the way - there are other boards out there with know-it-alls too. This one just happened to have 2 and the others, they just seem like retards. I read the guy at Huddle one time, that Zod, and then there's that guy loki I found at some other "extreme" forum or whatever, and the general feeling I get from them is they said one interesting thing one time and that gave them free reign to pass any retarded thought they'd ever had off as knowledge and/or "sources".

 

Zod runs panthershuddle. I think he's been kinda stupid as of late, but nothing more than a few posts that I disagree with. He's not the type to attack others opinions.

I hadn't checked this board in about 4+ months so if collin is gone, i will stop by more often. As far as just not reading threads that he is involved with; that really isn't possible as he was involved in 90%+when i frequented this board. It made starting to read any thread a chore knowing that in a page or two it would turn into meaningless drivel. Without him, intelligent conversations could last more than 2-3 pages; with him, the quality of posts plummet.

I also agree that numbers shouldn't be the goal for a forum focused on quality, but you all are losing intelligent posters because they don't want to deal with the BS. Know-it-alls are common elsewhere as well, but I think Collin has a greater net effect here as it is a smaller community and he is just such an asshole about it.

That being said, you can either agree with me or not. I'm not trying to force my views on anyone, but rather just express a point of view that I believe many others share.

 

When he's not going off on people there is substance to Collin's posts and I miss those. He had gotten a lot kinder/gentler before he disappeared, I thought.
