You are actually in the minority with that opinion. Most people log onto message boards to state their opinions and have a little fun. With people like Collin, there is no fun about it unless you enjoy getting called every nasty name in the book for no reason. Hey, if I'm wrong about something, then I'm wrong, I have no problem admitting it...being wrong about a stat or what player is best for us to draft does not make me a piece of shit though.

I have no beef with you, but that board's stupid. Sure, it's got plenty of posts. And how many of them give any actual insight? Plenty of "The Giants are going to trade for John Fox" crap every day, sure.

Why? It's not hate, but it's my opinion, and you're fine with people having opinions, remember? Just like you're fine with arguments and trash talk until someone comes along and whips you at it.

I'm not the biggest fan of Collin either. He takes things too far. Saying you won't read a forum because of one poster who hasn't been around in months is supposed to be better than dismissing a huge forum that has little redeeming content? I know P-Huddle. I also know that the handful of people I don't mind reading there, also can be found elsewhere. The rest just don't say things I find worth saying.

The thing is though, I'll read both of them and just ignore " Giants to trade for John Fox" at the Huddle or all the petty insults Collin throws out over here. If someone whips me with facts then, so be it...like I said though, being wrong doesn't make me a piece of shit and if I'm right about something, it doesn't make the other guy a piece of shit.

I guess it just depends on what bothers you more...reading stupid posts (or not reading them and going straight to the better ones) or reading rants that are designed to make people wish they were dead and last for 10 pages. The problem is that when you ignore Collins's rants when he is here, there's really not much left because he pretty much takes over the whole board.

Ignoring both is fine, and as someone who has a long history dealing with this stuff being able to bypass things that bother you is a good trait. Problem is, you're devaluing this board for one person but saying it's wrong to devalue a board for 90% of people there that have nothing worthwhile to say?

I'm not devaluing this board or any other. I am saying that more people would post here if it was a little more friendly...that's all. Maybe that's the way you want it and that's fine. I do know there's not a thread bashing this board over at the Huddle and there is a thread here about Cowher replacing Fox on this board, which isn't a hell of a lot different than the thread you cited as a reason not to read the Huddle. This is the off season and there's not a hell of alot to talk about, so people are going to speculate wildly on most football message boards...it's human nature.

One thing is for sure...nobody wants to be treated the way Collin treats people. Being right or wrong in a football arguement is just not that important. Most people just want to have a little fun while, hopefully, watching our favorite team win games, not to prove that we are superior to everybody else on a message board. In fact, I actually feel sorry for people like Collin, if in fact his message board persona is the same as his real life persona, because it has to suck when being right in so many petty arguements means that much to you.

I'm not a fan of the Cowher thread either - and judging this board on that thread is ignorant. But I'm not going to beat Sackem90 up about it, I don't see a purpose. Hell, I don't see the purpose in you constantly dogging Collin, either. If he doesn't matter to you, you should be able to accept him for what you believe him to be and not be worried months later that you lost at a game you were willing to play.

And sure, there's something to be said about being selective of who is doing the talking. Fair enough, though, I'll acknowledge that you don't agree that 'huddle' is twenty pounds of retard in a five pound bag.

I'm not trying to dog Collin. I'm simply telling you why more people don't post here. Hell, I would think it would be obvious to even the casual observer that normal people just don't want to be treated like they don't deserve to live just because they made a mistake when posting a stat or their opinion turned out to be wrong. Call me crazy.

The only reason I posted in this thread to begin with is that this is about the 3rd time I've seen a thread here bashing the Huddle while I've never seen one over there bashing this site. Believe me, I don't hate either board or any people on either board...it's simply not in me to do that. It just looked to me like the hate was only flowing one way and that bothered me. If people here don't like that site or think it's retarded that's fine...why keep making threads about them when they're not bothering you though?

if those people posted here we'd be the Charlotte Observer board or Panthers Huddle, Dave W said it best (I think it was him)

"TBR, it's for everybody, but not for everybody."

Thank God this board isn't cluttered with dumbass signature quotes a mile long and huge pictures at the bottom of each post. I can't tolerate too much of that stuff, it's as bad as stupid threads and posts. And post rating/reputation, etc. bleh.

And yes, there are good posters there and bad posters here (both heavily outnumbered).
