Yeah, I don't think it's worth driving that far for.... I only lived 1.5-2 hours from there and could take a day trip to the park and then come home. It was always kinda fun. But I wouldn't wanna drive 6 hours from here (or 8 probably from Charlotte) just for that. Not worth it.

I enjoyed Gettysburg more than Hershey.

Believe it or not, I've never been there. Always wanted to go, just never did. And I know my wife wouldn't really be interested, so it never really comes up.

It covers a much larger area than I realized. It is set up so that you can drive through it and stop and look where you like. Most of the states that were involved have monuments to their fallen soldiers. The one for North Carolina is very nice. Pennsylvania has the nicest one though, it is built on the site where the confederate line broke. There is another area full of rocks. A sign tells how a southern sharp shooter killed a union officer who stuck his head out. It seemed like a half a mile away.

you're right. I lived there more than six years and liked it, but I'm a hick.

I'm commenting more on elric's comment that Mexico "looks nicer" than PA. I assume he was talking scenery.
