I do not know if he has anything left but I have always liked him. He went to Western Carolina.

No thanks. It didn't help that Washington barely used him, but I don't think he's worthy of replacing Colbert.

I wonder if he is friends with Hoover. We ought to consider brining him to camp and letting him compete for a roster spot if no one signs him.

I'm here to put the kibosh on this. He is VERY seriously considering retirement. If you were to put a fence up separating retirement and keep playing, he is starting to climb down the retirement side of the fence.

To get personal from some insider info, he's back here in Columbia living with his parents (wife and kids with him, too), debating whether to chunk his sister out of the house he owns here in Colatown and move back in or just let her stay there and he and his wife and kids find another house to live in. I think he's getting ready to put his house in Va. up for sale--he's still debating that issue, too, because he's not sure he'll get a monetary return from it since he wasn't in it but for about 2 yrs.

End of the gossip segment. :cool4:

I can see why he might want to hang it up. The last two years must have been hard and shot his confidence. If he does want to give it a go though I hope the Panthers give him a chance to at least come to camp and see if he can win a spot.

A friend of mine used to play basketball with him when he was at Western and says he is a pretty good guy....

I've never met him, but from what I understand, he's pretty down to earth. He hauled coffee bean bags at a food processing place (for Kroger) near my house, worked as a landscaper around town, and had other jobs while trying to get into the NFL. His house that his sister lives in that's his is a modest house--not one of these million dollar houses like he has in Va. (which was TOTALLY out of character for him according to my source).

I wish him the best in his retirement if he does indeed retire.
