I would think center is our weakest position. Brezec and Voskul seems like nothing more than warm bodies. We could also use help at shooting guard. Power forward and point guard seem to be the strength of the team. I think Morrisson is likely to be a Del Curry type player who comes off the bench to add scoring but struggles with defense.

I would disagree. Okafor is the center and the best player. look at the record with him out. hes among league leaders in block shots and rebounds. bobcats need a playmaking 2 guard with some size

I thought Okafor was a power forward. The depth chart lists him as such with Brezec as the starting center.

They need a big body to play alongside Okafor. His natural NBA position is the 4.

I really want them to draft Chris Lofton whenever he comes out. He'll get panned prior to draft day for only being 6'2, and then everyone will forget his size when they see how much he can fill it up.

Okafor is a 5. His game is rebounding, shot blocking, and then scoring. hes the same size as Zo. he works out with Olajuwan every summer and you can tell. his timing on blocks has improved greatly. brezec can hit the road. yeah hes 7+ but hes worthless. cant defend or rebound. he can hit 15 ft jump shot.wow. while Okafor has been out teams have been running lay-up drills on the Bobcats. vs Portland they were throwing alley-oops off the back board.

Oden at the 5 and Okafor at the 4 sounds pretty awesome to me. With May in the rotation we would be awfully tough inside. Maybe they can add a guy who is a 2 or 3 and can score in free agency.

Okafor doesnt have TD's offensive skills . Okafor tried power foward his second year and it didnt work out too great. he can play either but with the current roster hes better suited to play 5. IF they get Oden you can move him around.

its splitting hairs but NBA.com lists Duncan as forward-center and Okafor as center-forward.

When May and Okafor are both healthy do they both start or does May back up Okafor?

In today's NBA, there's not a tremendous amount of difference between a PF and a C, mostly because there's not a lot of TRUE centers, let alone quality ones. There's lots of guys with the skills and there's lots of guys with the size, but very few who have both.

Who have both? Right now, Shaq and Yao. I assume Oden will. And that's about it. You've got guys like Dampier and Brezec who are large bodies but aren't necessarily that good. And then you've got a lot of 6'10 and 6'11 guys masquerading as C's because their offensive game does exist past 5 feet or because there's not a real C on the roster.

We'd probably be fine with Okafor and someone like Brendan Wright manning the paint.
