    if you don't wanna make it yourself, try rao's. their marinara sauce is absolutely amazing. shouldn't be too hard to add meat to it.

    3-4 lbs. lean hamburger
    1 large onion finely chopped
    1 large can of crushed tomatoes
    3 small cans tomato paste
    1 can tomato sauce
    3 small cans of mushroom pieces, reserve liquid
    1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 tbsp. crushed garlic
    3-4 bay leaves
    ½ tsp. Salt
    ½ tsp. Pepper
    1 ½ tsp. Oregano
    ½ tsp. basil
    1 tsp. sugar

    INSTRUCTIONS: Cook hamburger and onions until done. Drain. Put all ingredients except for sugar and reserved liquid in a large pot and mix. Bring to a boil then reduce to simmer. After 2 hours add sugar and reserved liquid. Cook another hour.

    Rule #1...DO NOT use an aluminum pan/pot to make your sauce. There's a chemical reaction with the tomato that will make all your hard work go right down the garbage disposal. :toilet:

    dump a large bottle of ketchup in a pot, add a fifth of Yukon Jack and a bayleaf. cook over low heat for eight hours, stirring non-stop.

    when the Rotary Club had their spaghetti dinner they made about 25 gallons of sauce and put it in a washtub, then had Clem Harkins season it up by sitting in it nude. I missed the dinner but I hear the sauce was pretty spicy. someone commented on ground beef, but there was none.

    no, that's western style spaghetti sauce. We don't take kindly to those retards out here in mid-south-central NC.
