I remember meeting the QCB at a Gamecocks Game. He was just a normal guy. Nothing like the on air persona. I go to Clear Channel parties every year...none of those guys are "the same" as on the air. Robert D. Raiford is a great example...

 

I guess some people on here are saying they've gotten tired of the QCB and/or Hayseed's schtick. I mean, Hayseed comes on the air and talks about how great Duke is, gets slammed on the Whiner Line when they lose, Seed talks shit when Duke beats Carolina all the time, doesn't say too much when Carolina starts beating them again. I mean, this has been PRIMETIME's SOP for the last 10 years more or less, right? Hearing the same Carolina/Duke takes on the WHINER LINE after 10 years is another reason folks have turned off the show.

In other markets top shows, I don't think too many of them rely on a WHINER LINE Segment to define the show. I know PRIIMETIME (which Matt Pinto originally hosted before Packman took over) took the Whiner Line segment from WEEI in Boston (the original WFNZ GM back in 1997 was at WEEI at one time I Think, correct me if I'm wrong). I know most sportstalk shows in any market will have their segment which defines the show (i.e. Collin Cowherd on ESPN Radio has the 'Spanning the Globe' segment). I guess the WHINER LINE defines PRIMETIME.

 

Dude....it's ALWAYS going to be Duke and UNC in basketball. Now that the show is in Greenville, SC and Columbia, SC it'll be all about that.

By the way. Do you think USC will beat UNC by over 4 TD's next season? I do.

No, everybody knows it is an act and that is why that station and show suck.

Nobody with an education past the 6th grade finds that show or "act" anything but annoying.

Maybe if you guys spend a little more time being yourself and doing some actual homework instead of just spewing insults and threats, that show might pass for sports talk radio.

i agree with you guys. if the show would talk more sports and less about what fans should be ripping other fans it would and could be great. that is just the way pack wants to run the show. you do what the boss tells you to do, know what i mean. nobody ever agreed completely with the way a show on a certain day went we just went the way packer was driving it.

and sorry chipshot those are my real teams. that is no act at all. acting like its the end of the world win or lose was, but not me liking them. by the way whats wrong with making fun of the city? its just a city.
