Discovery channel should be ashamed for putting that garbage on the air. I mean I could completely see something like that being the truth but they showed nothing to make it seem likely based on their "evidence".

The after show was good. Koppel made them explain how they came to conclusions that were based on other conclusions they made.

I fell asleep about 30 minutes into it, but here are a few of my observations so far...

    1. The script on the boxes looks irreverant, not like something done out of solemn respect.

    2. The tomb itself is in Jerusalem, which makes little to no sense at all. Mary and Joseph were from Nazareth, days' travel away. If the disciples were going to go to the trouble to exhume Jesus from the tomb of Joseph of Arimethea to establish a 'family' tomb, why not establish it in Nazareth, which would not only be closer to the origins of the family itself, but also away from the government which crucified Jesus.

    3. There's little evidence (I saw) of how they dated the tomb and the ossuaries (sp?) themselves.

    4. The documentor skips generations to incorporate the name 'Mattias', yet refuses to to consider other options to explain 'Jeshua'.

    5. The biological remains of all the ossuaries were disposed of (buried) shortly after the tomb was discovered and catalogued over twenty years ago. Skeletal remains of this 'Jeshua' should provide strong evidence of both scourging and crucifixion. Or not.

I'm sure I'll find more as I continue to watch. I'll post as I come up with new challenges.

I know that they'll rerun the show, hopefully they'll rerun the aftershow too. It was far more informative of where their assumptions came from.

I think the criticisms against Discovery were taken to heart. This was no documentary. It was a docudrama. They covered up their missing info with reenactments.

I've noticed more and more of that. I wish they would stop with all the end of the world hysterical shows too.
