Me at my house. My wife can cook. She follows recipes. But I'm the one that just makes shit...good. I know tons of guys that say the same thing. What happened? When I was a kid none of the dad's cooked....

I learned in college. Cheap date. She was impressed. And after dinner...we were in my house.

    i'm the cook, too.

gina follows recipes and doesn't veer off course.

me? i change them up -- i add more of somethign, less of somethign. i add in other ingredients that i think will taste good. i substitute things.

    i love cooking.

we had a martini night at the house a couple weeks abck -- i made martinis and chicken enchiladas. i did the enchiladas from scratch -- own sauce, shreddded the chicken with two forks. they were fantastic.

We had a couple over tonight. I made 2 beer can chix and REAL mashed potatoes (butter, whole milk and some cheddar for me). They brought over some awesome veggies...he made them.

This seems to be the norm. 20-30 years ago? No way!

But I LIKE to make stuff.

I do the cooking at our house. She's an ok cook, but I enjoy it way more than she does and I'm a lot better at it.

Yeah...I guess my wife is an OK cook as well. I just like it. And for some reason...it's easy for me...and fun. Ever notice most Chefs are men?

I cook as well. Mostly on the weekends. It is like a hobby. Some old family recipes and some off of Epicurious if I am looking for something really different.
