So he is an idiot becuase he thinks we need to get younger and draft better? How is that idiotic? We do need a better DL & OL.

 

Homers on this site is the only excuse. We draft poorly and we sign the wrong free agents. That all amounts to bad talent evaluation. Until our talent evaluators change, we'll be a mediocre team.

 

We're drafting w/o the expertise of Mr. Softli this time around.

 

There actually have been some changes on that front.

Tony Softli has been replaced as the head of college scouting by Don Gregory. Softli was a Polian hire and seemed to have spent a good portion of the last few years trying to get a GM job somewhere else.

Also word from Gantt recently that they fired one of their college scouts, a guy who worked on the west coast region, I believe.

Throw in that you're now gonna have input from Jeff Davidson rather than Dan Henning when it comes to the offense.
