Morrison single handedly beat the Timberwolves last night. I'd be crushed if they did this deal. Like it was already mentioned, we could just as easily aquire Lewis via Free Agency.

There sure are some stupid people in the sports business nowadays, I don't see how anyone could think that deal would be in the Bobcats best interests. If Lewis wouldn't come here via free agency, why would he stay here? I don't think we could "Bird clause" him and pay him more if we traded for him today, the only team that can do that is Seattle.

I had a hard time following why we'd be anything more than someone's patsy for doing that trade.

That is not the trade I was thinking of when I started this thread. I was thinking we might dump some players who are in the last year of their deals to a team looking to unload a superstar and get some cap space. No way we should trade Morrison especially after last night.

I might take that trade if it didn't involve losing a 1st round draft pick

I am pretty sure that we get the Raptors pick in this years draft "if" the Raptors make the playoffs. If they don't we wait another year. I don't ever see Morrison giving us what Rashard Lewis could give. What would put me off is giving up a 1st round pick. The B-Cats need someone to help inside and a 2 guard.

Lewis didn't do shit his first several year. Why don't you give Morrison that benefit when he is already contributing?
