I get sick of hearing people say Dukes loses back when Coach K was out with hip problems in the 80's shouldn't count on his record, that the assitant coach was coaching them and not Coach K. Excuse ME!!! If Coach K starts the season then he is coach, all wins and loses are his regardless if he is on the bench or not!!:rulez:

You are such a fucking idiot it is incredible. Don't let such simple things as NCAA rules stand in the way of your moronic ramblings. And why single out K, the same rule has been applied in the same way for other coaches like Rick Majerus and Lute Olsen

Duke opened 1994-95 with a 9-3 record before Krzyzewski left the team because of back surgery and exhaustion. Interim coach Pete Gaudet went 4-15 the rest of the way to cap a 13-18 finish.

Because those final 19 games went on Gaudet's record, a Krzyzewski-coached Duke team has never lost more than four straight.

"I should have been credited with all the losses," Krzyzewski said.

Coach K said those games are on his record and he accepts it. 1980's? Where did that come from

The three losses yes. The school made the decision before Gaudet ever coached a game that season that the wins and losses would belong to Gaudet.

Why the hell would a coach get the credit or blame for games he didn't coach? That's idiotic and that's one of the dumbest posts in the history of TBR.
