Granted, I haven't been to nearly all the state capitals in the country, but Columbia is by far the ugliest of the ones I have seen.

For me...Columbia on a Friday or Saturday was sex...sex...sex...and some beer. Or maybe beer...beer...beer...and some sex. The second is probably more likely.

That's your idea of "everywhere"? I guess I shouldn't expect more from a Gamecock fan, but still. I do give you credit for Auckland, although I never quite understood people like you who would schedule an entire vacation around your love of Lord of the Rings. In any case, the idea that Columbia has a better bar scene than New York, New Orleans, or pretty much any of those choices besides Providence (that was kind of a random throw-in) is laughable.

Worse than Columbia's? Not even close, unless you think it's a plus to actually feel unsafe, but I'd agree that it's a little flat. The problem is that you're arguing about something people already know. Columbia is a shithole, dude. Everyone who has been there knows that. It's like a mini-Jacksonville.
