well like has already been stated by other fans.. im proud of the way duke played for the most part we just ran outa gas against a team that really should beat everybody they play... then to have a huge role guy like mcclure struggle with that knee in the 2nd half. that hurt too but henderson really stepped up against his old teammate from HS and scheyer and paulus.. especially scheyer.. wow i thought that nelson and mcroberts really didnt do as much as was expected but with mcroberts thats been this whole year.. nelson has in the past been a guy thats played really well against unc but tonight he still had 12 points but only 9 until the last 30 seconds.. the free throws and worn legs killed us but very proud.. if we played like this against everyone then we wouldnt be 5-5 in the conf and would really be a great team

Stewart Mandel of SI has 8 ACC teams getting in. ACC rules the RPI, while the Big East is either last or second to last among the major conferences. The ACC's depth is exceptional this year, the conference just lacks its usual dose of elite teams.

stewart mandel you say? well, then it must be so.

no conference deserves seven or eight teams.

i think it was the bonnies but i'll have to check with stu mandel first :peacemanmw:

check that, stu say's that the bonnies was robbed by the refs....something about their shorts being too long on one leg (wtf?). this forced them to play with a whop-sided basketball, thus the game kinda got away from them. it wasnt pretty.

I couldn't believe that only UNC and Duke are ranked in the ACC but aren't there like 5 ACC teams waiting on the fringe of the top 25. That Clemson/FSU game was a huge game for the ACC. FSU does hold the biggest non-conference win in the country by beating Florida and they beat Duke. not sure who else they beat. Virginia getting to 10 wins should give them a lock. That win over Arizona and a 40 point drubbing of Gonzaga are real good wins and they are 7-2 in conference play. Clemson should be back in the top 25 if they win this weekend. BC is a really weird team. UNC is a lock and Duke should get in barring a complete collapse. After that the ACC has 6 bubble teams.

yea ACC which i think is case def more times than not, is the best conference in the nation. I can't believe that Steve Lavin is such a homer since he coached @ UCLA and he sits there and says that the PAC 10 is better than the ACC.. didnt they say that a few years back and then on the wya to the final four maryland and duke knocked out all of the pac 10 teams lol

UVA and BC are tied for first place in the ACC. Neither are ranked in the Top 25. Polls don't always tell the story.
