Lawson came through at the end that was good to see - but the first 3/4 of the game he looked lost. His speed was nonexistent - when he did run he made bad decsions aand I swear he missed 4 or 5 point blank layups.

But he does needs props for taking charge at the end. But the comeback came with him on the bench. Wright played solid which was good to see - although he made some very lazy plays on defense.

I know I'm being too hard on them - a win at dook is always good.

Well imo with Lawson he was just frustrated with the team effort out there to start with, he really didn't have the options to pass to for most of the game, too many players standing around.

He was 6-12 shooting and ended up with 15 points and 8 rebounds.

The team just seemed lazy, like they thought this was going to be an easy win or something, much better effort in the 2nd half.

I kinda feel like a lot of the UNC fans felt after a favored Duke team beat UNC at UNC last year. I really couldn't expect more out of Paulus, Scheyer, or Henderson. Zoubek looked like a clutz but he did a damn good job defending Hansbrough. How in the hell does Hansbrough get blocked by a 6-5 guard and a 6-3 guard in the paint? McRoberts was ok, but he pretty much had to handle Wright and Hansbrough by himself. Duke needs Patterson BADLY. Duke needs a banger down low. Hansbrough looked pissed the whole night. I thought he was going to try and punch someone again. Duke just ran out of gas, but I was REALLY surprised to see Duke's guards outplay UNC's. When you have Dave McClure or Gerald Henderson on Brandon Wright there is nothing you can really do. Terry's a punk and a ton of UNC fans I know really despise him. He didn't look that good tonight. Wright was too much down low and Lawson played well down the stretch.

And why the hell didn't Ellington play more in the second half?

I don't doubt it, not sure how many To's Terry had, but it had to be half of the team total of 13.

Because he can't jump and because he was fouled. Hansbrough also has that annoying compulsion to dribble the ball instead of just taking it straight up to the rim.

In a larger sense, I'm a bit concerned about the ACC's representation in the tournament. 7-8 teams deserve to get in, but with only one marquee team the conference might get slighted again.
