You just have to tip your hat to Singletary on that last shot. Duke played pretty good D and he just made a tough floater. They are hard as hell to beat in John Paul Jones this year and I think they could be ranked in a week or two the way the bottom teams in the top 25 keep losing. That helped them a ton. They were square on the bubble. Scheyer has gone ice cold from the field. McRoberts looked like the only one who really wanted to be there and thought he did well. He has really picked it up defensively. Lance Thomas has gotten a lot better in the last two games and shows improvement but fouls too much. The best comparison to Paulus is Bobby Frasor. Duke needs a legitimate point guard. like a Jason Williams, Bobby Hurley, or Tommy Amaker. Someone who strictly plays the point that isn't Paulus. Paulus would do fine as a backup like Frasor but he scares me in crucial moments and I didn't think he played too terrible last night. In OT McRoberts had to do everything by himself while everyone stood around Virginia does have the best backcourt in the ACC. That is a recipe for disaster. It was a lot like the Marquette game. For Duke to get back on track Scheyer is going to have to get his legs back and start sinking the three ball.

Roy has yet to win with a team he recruited and pays his players.

Roy Williams is better than Coach K how? Is it his putrid record against Coach K, his two less championships, the fact that he's been to half the final fours as Coach K or the fact that since he's come to the ACC Coach K has had more wins than him and a better winning percentage. He took over a very good Kansas program and got to play in the Big 8 and Big 12 and rack up wins then inherited an outstanding recruiting class that Doherty had. Doherty got screwed over by Guthridge's inability to recruit anyone of any value. Meanwhile Coach K had to get his wins at Army and take over a Duke team that lost everything and stunk for 3 years in one of the best times of ACC basketball ever. They were one of the worst teams in the conference before Dawkins, Bilas, and Alarie were sophomores.

Coach K is a phenomenal coach in his own right, but don't downplay Roy Williams' accomplishments. After all, no coach ever got to 500 wins faster. And your Kansas history is a little suspect, as they were unranked at that time since Danny Manning had graduated, the rest of the team was inexperienced, and they had just been put on probation.
