The NBA CAN work here. It has before. We led in attendance from something like 1988 to 1997 before Shinn screwed the city over and the Panthers games were "The place to be" The Hornets games used to be "the place to be seen". If the Bobcats start winning people will show up. Wish we had Larry Bird running the team. College basketball is so exciting to me. Pro basketball players seem like they just don't care if they really win or lose. I know that's not true but that's how they portray themselves sometimes.

That's who should be running this franchise...He and his ownership group did all the politicing and groundwork for this area. Bob Johnson was "Johnny come lately" and they handed it to him.

Well that is an extrememly subjective opinion; to some, including myself, it doesn't matter what type of basketball it is, I still like to watch it. You won't catch me dissin' the NBA game, what the F would I do all winter? (drive to Chapel Hill)

Pro basketball is boring because of all the isolation. Let's watch four guys gather on one side of the court while the remaining player backs down his man. Sounds like fun! I'm not a huge fan of either, but college basketball is much more aesthically pleasing especially when played by up-tempo teams.

The NBA game has changed alot in the last few years (for the better). You don't see what you described nearly as much as you did 5-7 years ago. The Euro influence has been good for the league. Mike Dantoni (sp?)style of play is exciting to watch and they are kicking ass with it. I would expect more teams to try to open it up like that... The zone has also helped the game. You have to have shooters now to counter the zone (that's why the Bobctas get their ass kicked when Matt Carroll is off)

I love the Bobcats and think they will be a force in 2 years. Bob made major blunders but, Bernie has saved his ass with good cap management and sticking to "the plan".
