    My hatred of Florida is well documented and my opinion of the SEC's toughness is that it is really no tougher than any other or at least not so significantly as people try to make it sound.

    No, I am fine at math. All that tells me is that the SEC is top heavy. Other conferences have two or three teams with 10 wins.
    ACC = 3
    Big East = 3
    Big Ten = 3
    Big 12 = 2
    CUSA = 1
    Mid-Am = 1
    Mtn West = 2
    Pac 10 = 3
    SEC = 4
    WAC = 2

    The scoreboard didn't show the physical beating Tennessee received. Penn State should have scored a couple more times, but they kept stalling. Tennessee was the better team and they should have won...I know your a Tennessee fan, but you can't deny that they have a habit of going into bowl games and dropping turds. Tennesse and Texas BOTH do this and did it this year. It's as if they are pouting because they didn't get the bowl game they wanted. Mack Brown and Phil Fulmer have both fought with choking in thier careers...both have great achievments as well.

    This past year, it was stronger. You can debate how "significant" that difference is, but that's fairly nebulous. Four teams with 10 wins is more than 3. That's stronger. Three teams in the top 8 is uncomparable. As for the SEC being top heavy, our middle was UT, South Carolina, Georgia, and Kentucky. All with either 8 or 9 wins. All but UT won their bowl games. Ultimately, matched up against good schools of other conferences, SEC won most of its bowl games.

    No, we weren't. At reciever, yes, and Ainge had a rebound year. We were of close talent, and a healthy defensive unit might have made a difference, but Penn State won because they were better. UT had a lot of problems this year with the rash of penalties robbing us of depth and impact players. The achilles heel that game also lost us the other games, other than Ainge being out. Our defense wilted and gave up leads. Even in the games we won, such as the UGA and USC games, the offense had to continue to score points to secure wins.

    24 and 21. A winning bowl record. Fulmer has a 7-7 bowl record. Dominance? No, but I don't see that claim being laid. Hardly choking. I have no idea what Mack Brown's record is. But last I checked both he and Fulmer had national titles.

    At some point even Irish fans are going to get tired of watching their team get waxed on national telivision
