I weighed in yesterday at 236 lbs., making my total weight loss 75 lbs. since 7/5/2006.

I plan to lose another 25 - 30 lbs., as long as my docs agree and I feel good. At this rate, I should get to the 205 - 210 range by mid-April.

Yep, and I'm still fat. :frown: That's why I revised my target weight (and my docs said I probably would).

I am so proud of you, HB. There is nothing you could have done that would benefit your health and life more. You are an inspiration. :congrats:

I can imagine when you weighed 300+ that 235 sounded tiny...but unless you are 6'5"+, 235 is still pretty damn big!

By the way, congratulations. You've got to look totally different. Have you seen anyone lately that you haven't seen in awhile? Were they shocked?

It actually sounded impossible. But yeah -- it sounded a lot thinner than it really is (for me). Of course, I don't have a whole lot of muscle mass, either (at least, not as much as I'd hoped), so that's going to affect my ideal weight as well. When I do get down closer to 200, I'll probably shift my exercise plan to include more lifting to address that issue.

Thanks. A lot of people say I look a lot thinner in the face, but that may be because I trimmed my beard back down to a goatee as much as because of the weight I've lost. I did see a guy I work with in the gym the other day whom I haven't seen in about a month. He said he almost didn't recognize me, but I think he was exaggerating just to be nice. I don't think I look that different.

If you've lost 75 pounds you've GOT to look different.

    A little update.

I weighed in this morning at 209, which was significant for a couple of reasons:

    1) I've been trying to crack the 210 barrier for the past three weeks, and finally did it.

    2) I haven't weighed under 210 since July 1990.

My revised goal weight is 185 (which my docs approved), so I've still got a ways to go. My hope is that I'll make that weight by this fall.
