    Earlier today, San Diego WR coach James Lofton was informed by the Raiders that they wouldn't be hiring him for their vacant head coaching job. That left USC assistant coach Steve Sarkisian as the only choice.

    Speculation of late has been that Sarkisian was the favorite to win the job anyway.

    So now according to ESPN News, the story is that Sarkisian was indeed offered the job.

    And he declined it.

    Wow.

    To call this team a mess is an insult to respectable messes everywhere.

    Can't believe Sarkisian turned them down. This was his chance of a lifetime actually. They've got a couple of other people who are coming in to interview. Although I said I didn't think the Raiders would go with Rob Ryan, it may come down to him.

    Hell we may as well of forfeited last season!!! Although I do remember a 1-15 year of the Panthers. Turned it around in a couple of seasons and made it all the way to the Super Bowl. Miracles CAN happen!

    (this is meant as a a joke; unless it happens, in which case I was completely serious)

    not going with Ryan at this point would be a mild disaster; going with him would be an insult to him for not being considered before these ridiculously inexperienced guys.
