    This could....
    1) Cause us to draft one of the the elite TE's in round one (Zach Miller from Az St or Greg Olsen from Mia, FL).

    2) Result in Keyshaun "retiring" or asking for a trade, causing us to have to use a draft pick or free agent dollars on a WR.

    3) mean we invest more heavily in offense this offseason, leaving needs at S and MLB (and possibly DE) un-met.

    4) a lesser need to start new threads when the content could very well have gone in the previous running thread.. :)

#1 - unlikely. I doubt we'll have much of a shift in philosophy, and we have bigger needs.

#2 - We're not trading him, and he won't leave millions of dollars behind by retiring.

#3 - I don't believe our offseason plans will change much.

Fox chose Henning because he wanted that type of offense. I doubt that the changes will be dramatic. I can't see TE becoming more of a priority now, but neither of those two would even be a consideration at #14 regardless.

And I don't believe this is a good or bad move. Whoever gets the job won't call all of the same things Henning called, but we'll still be a run first team with a emphasis on getting the ball to Steve Smith. That's who we are.

As long as we succeed in those things, that's what's important. Obviously, we struggled to do both.

The lack of use of TE had nothing to do with overall philosophy, just Hennings implementation of the philosophy. If we get a new OC that still believes in a ball control, run-oriented offense, it could be that we throw more to the TE and less to the WR's.

.....And I HATE threads that wind up 47 pages long.

Don't know if it's fallout but I expect us to be on the lookout for a QB to groom, new OC it's the best time to do it.
