Did y'all get the line coach from WVu? IF so that's pretty major.

yeah -- trickett is considered to be the best OL coach in college football.

jimbo fisher is considerd one of the top OC/QB coaches (and recruiters) in the country, too.

also brought in lawrence dawsey as WR coach.

major upgrades for florida state. it was already addition by subtraction with jeff bowden out of the picture.

still have two openings: RB coach and LB coach.

bobby is holding out for amato at LB, but there's a contract holdup with ncstate. RB coaches -- a couple have been mentioned: WV's RB coach and LSU's RB coach.

i'd take any combination of those four guys (including bunting at LB).

Heard about the contract hold up....Suprised because I believe you told me a few yrs ago that Chuck had "burned some bridges" when he left Tally...Just curious if those had been rebuilt?? Thanks

How can there be a contract holdup if he got fired? Doens't getting fired pretty much void any contract?

if I understand correctly, NC State had to pay him for the remaining time on the deal, until he found another job or the term of the contract expired. With him being fired, he likely got some different deal that NCSU pays while he is not working, but goes away once he gets another job.

I admit, I could wrong on this, but that is hopw I remember it.

That makes since, but why would there be a hold up? If he has a new job, NC State stops paying. Doesn't sound too complicated to me or am I missing something?
