I was surpised at how bad LSU OL pushed around the ND DL. I could have run the ball.

I think the worst thing about last nights ass-whipping is I never thought LSU was playing as well as they could. The DL wasn't as dominant as I've seen them during the season, of course ND's OL could have had something to do with it. Still, they they hung 41 on 'em.

I know bowl games love to invite ND because they travel well (fans=$$$) and all the tradition but isn't it obvious the BCS is a little much for them atm? Ohio St last year and LSU proved they aren't worthy of a BCS slot on the field as yet. Weis (aka the Lord of the Rings according to Musberger) will probably get them there sometime but leave them out till they earn it.

    Agreed

But, I think it was Jaworski who was showing how Manning had perfect form becuase he lifted his right leg over through the throw like a pitcher.

It should flip over like a pitcher if it's momentum carries it through, but I don't see that with Quinn.

It's a good thing the NFL does not have at large playoff bids. Notre Dame would get one. The Irish have a huge following of unrealistic fans. They actually think they can win these games when it's obvious they can't. 9 straight bowl losses shows that they are overmatched and not worthy of the respect they get. Make then bastards go to the Boise Bowl and play on the blue rug against Nevada. :handjob:

I've only been saying for months now that Quinn is overrated, that he has bad mechanics, that he panics under pressure, and that the only reasons he's even being considered in the first round are that he plays for Notre Dame and Charlie Weiss rescued him from being a career underachiever. He should not go in the first round, much less first overall. Russell, Brohm, and Troy Smith are all better pro prospects.

Short. He's listed at 6'0, but I imagine he's more like 5'11". I don't mind it quite so much because he has a good, high release point that shouldn't lead to many batted passes (I can't recall seeing many at OSU). His height is probably the only thing keeping him from being the #1 overall pick, and while height is a legitimate issue for quarterbacks, it's just damn silly that it alone could have so many guys ranked above him. He's better than Quinn in pretty much every respect, a better decision maker than Russell, and more mobile than Brohm.

As much as I hate seeing quarterbacks drafted in the first round, it wouldn't kill me to take Smith at #14 and I'd do cartwheels if we somehow got him with our second pick. That surprises me as much as anyone because I just assumed he was overhyped until I actually broke him down on film.
