Knight will win more games than Dean, that doesn't make him the best.

Forget Knight's record of being an ass, I'm talking about pure coaching.

I'll take Dean, Rupp, and Wooden before I ever think of Knight as a "great" coach.

EDIT--I wrote earlier that Knight has coached longer than Dean, but I don't know that for sure.

you leave collin alone. If anyone knows "know it all, blow hard, I've never done or said anything wrong in my life" assholes like Bob Knight it would be collin.

Records are made to be broken. Did Knight get the record tonight? last I saw TT was losing. By the time the current crop of coaches get through ( Knight, Kyasaksjajsi, Calhoun, Olsen, Roy Williams, Boehiem) Smith will be way down the list of most wins so arguing about whether Knight deserves the record is pointless.

Wasn´t trying to be an ass or anything. Dean was a great coach, and so is Knight.

Found out last night Knight had a perfect season, that's pretty impressive.

In 1976, the Hoosiers made history, posting an undefeated 32-0 record and winning the championship, beating Michigan 86-68.

I wouldn't want to play for him, but I respect.

Fyi, I have coached teams and I don't behave anything like Knight. I have no responsibility to you people (or affection, for that matter), so I don't feel any need to be less than brutally honest. But I do believe that coaches have a responsibility to their players, and I always tried to treat mine with respect and patience.
