    From Jake:

He said he wore a glove on his throwing hand to help in gripping the ball. he says his strength is coming back, but its a slow and frustrating deal.

    From Fox:
If Jake is healthy, he'll play.

I'd certainly say that, unless he had to throw lefty, the team would be more confident in passing the ball. That said, it'd be hard to be any less confident than we were this week.

I'd much rather we do whatever's confident to work than that we stick with anything in particular. The best thing about our offense this past week, however, was the ability to dictate and the willingness to keep a drive going.

I had not considered Jake throwing with his left hand. I wonder if he would be better than Weinkie with his left hand? I think there is a good chance he would be.

I would prefer Jake shoot the ball out of his arse over letting Weinke near the field.

If William Wallace were here that is what he would do.

surely Jake can throw 7-12 passes...

and it looks like we've found Weinke's replacement already

I'm still of the opinion though, that Weinke ran the game plan he was told to run. The whole object of running the ball so much was to keep the clock running and limit Vick's time on the field. I think Weinke was told to take a sack rather than throw an incompletion and stop the clock, and if there was nobody wide open, take the sack...don't stop the clock and don't turn it over.

why doesn't everyone KNOW this to be the case? weinke is the guy who just a few weeks prior went out and set the franchise record for single-game passing yardage.

The run was working and you know Henning - he'll stick with something until you stop it. They never really did consistently, so Henning stcuk with it.

From what I've read, if Jake is able to go, he goes regardless of playoff implications.

because it's easier to hate Weinke if it's somehow protrayed to be all his fault and no one else's. I'd like to see the overheads on the sacks he took also. Was any one remotely even open? They replayed one of them and no one was. So is it better to have taken the sack or to get an intentional grounding penalty on the other two sacks?
