did we kneel any? I forget, in the moments we would've kneeled I was preparing dinner for a fuckton of people. There isn't much difference there, but it's possible that's why that was scored that way.

Nope, there was just enough time left on our last posession to where they had to try to get a 1st down to run out the clock. They ran 3 times and punted and Atlanta ran two plays...the second pass was intercepted by Shaun Williams.

guess I remember that, yeah. I certainly remember the punt and the INT.

Hard hit that knocked off his shoe.

He could have stayed down on that one. I would not have blamed him.

Wanker out of the pocket, or stay in and get sacked?

Minor quibble, but while I know the announcers made reference to the single wing, the formation we used was actually nothing at all like it. In a single wing you line up with a heavily unbalanced formation and don't take the snap out of the shotgun. That was so popular back in the day because teams didn't pass often, but mostly because the hash marks were much, much wider than they are today. That meant that you had little room to work with on the near side of the field, but the single wing allowed you to concentrate more of your players on the far side.

I believe the one rush was from the fumbled snap that Hoover recovered.

Looks like we lined up in that formation 11 times yesterday. 2 were nullified by penalty. The 9 that counted netted 36 yards...so it was more than triple the 11 net passing yards we had.

the only positive I can think of about Weinke is that he doesn't fumble every third sack

this one was his own fault IMO. It was a screen pass that was covered and he should have thrown it away much earlier. Hell, he held the ball so long that Hangartner was called for Offensive Pass Interference. WTF.
