And Weinke gets his first win in 18 games as a starter. (That's just plain SAD!)

    He's actually up to a big 2 1/10-18 now.

A small unofficial nudge for the Detroit drive.

The really sad part is that they won in spite of Weinke, not because of him. This was DeAngelo Williams' victory.

True, but they put alot of pressure on Williams today and he really came through. I don't think we've seen anything close to the best this kid has yet. He's gonna be fun to watch.

You're definitely right though, Foster and the defense along with the O-line, deserve plenty of credit today.

3 years. Can't find the bonus, but once you do, the cap differential is 1/3 of his bonus, versus his 2007 salary.

Can't be much of a bonus, as the contract was only $4.5 mil over three years. Poor guy. I like him well enough, but he has to go. I can't get over the fact that he was sacked 3 times in just 10 pass attempts.

They show 1 rush for zero yards - which is basically another sack, which makes it 4 sacks in 11 attempts.

Or - in 11 attempts, Weinke was sacked 3 times and completed 4 passes.

If you add in the sacks Weinke took, I bet we doubled the yardage Weinke had from pass plays having Williams line up in the single wing.

    That was fucking awesome.

Yeah. It was really shocking to see. I don't understand how a guy can let it fly 62 times two weeks ago but can't get a pass off this week. Totally gunshy, although he should have had that first long bomb to Smitty. He made a couple of decent throws, but you could just see him freeze. That's not a good sign, I think he's done.

I don't know what we should do next week. I'd love to make the playoffs, and after today I'm not sure Weinke is our best chance should Jake still be out.
