I've been digging Dynamite. Between 15-20 per bottle and it's awesome.

    If I'm going cheaper...Rodney Strong...then Bogle...

Below that I go to Riunite on Ice...that's nice.

    By the way...Cabernets or Merlots...

I usually stick to reds and either French or Italian at that.

Ive really never bothered even trying all those weird brands you see pop up like Fat Bastards or the Coppolas brand.

Pretty much just stick to what little i know.

I just like a nice red to drink with spagetti and such or a nice Sunday roast. Not too dry tho, thats the problem with reds.

How the fuck is Coppola a weird brand? Oh yeah, because you're the fuck who is drinking it with some good ole' spaghetti and is afraid to try something different. On that note, I like Coppola Claret if I'm drinking a Cabernet. J Lohr also makes a good Cabernet. La Crema is has an excellent Pinot Noir, very smooth. My favorite white wine is Estancia Pinot Grigio.

if local, I like to try whatever I can.
if for something of worth, Castello Banfi or Castello Monsanto are reasonable brands for italians...I tend to like the Chianti Classico riserva or the brunello di Montalcino or Montepulciano.

Fat Bastard is a well established wine. French and they make a nicely priced Chardonnay. But I hear what you are saying about the trendily named wines.

    I like Fat Bastard.

Ecco Domani Merlot is good too. Its a Gallo product.

Reds can be too dry at times, but good for a change

If you dig Italians and are ever on Providence Rd in Charlotte duck into Salute beside the Manor house Theater. Best selection of regional italians I've seen local. Had a very nice Cannanou from Sardinia last night followed by a Vino Nobli (sangiovese) that was out of this world.

Don't care for white wine. I'm sure I had my share of White Zin when I started drinking...sort of a beginner wine. I think it goes like this...

    Age 14-17....Mad Dog
    Age 18-20...Boones Farm
    Age 21-23...White Zin
    Age 24-25...Chardonnay
    26+ Reds....

At least that's how I did it...
