Sure, I was just letting you know. Honestly I'd love to see his face when he reads that because he's going to be apoplectic.

And naturally, for you to support your own argument and nothing more. Anything he says that's clearly ridiculous is forgiven so you can play wordplay for 40 nonsensical posts at people who don't believe Jake Delhomme is the worst quarterback in the league. Yay, search for greater truth!
Well clutch the pearls. That's so awful! I don't agree with you. I need to go cope.

Of course, not lobbying for a replacement - or else - doesn't mean I have been fine with his play this year.

oll. Sure. People should just bow at your argument and not disagree or believe otherwise. Sure.
Does this actually work against anyone? Does "I've actually watched the games" really do anything other than make you look dumb for using it as proof?

No. And false consensus building doesn't make it so, either. In all of the time Muhammad and Smith were here, the route was used negligibly. There's more than ample statements of people here wishing the route existed here regularly. I openly stated in the Pre-shawn Johnson era that signing him wouldn't make as much sense because we don't run those routes. Now we do.
So there are no problems at all in the passing game that aren't completely Jake Delhomme's fault? Awesome.

I guess your opinion of Jake is going to be affected greatly by how you saw his success in prior years.

Some see the 2003 season as all about Stephen Davis but I see that Jake had multiple come from behind wins that allowed us to get in the playoffs in the first place. Once the playoffs started Davis did not do much and it was Jake's passing that beat Dallas and the Rams. It was Jake who almost rallied us to beat the Pats in the superbowl. The defense deserves most of the credit for beating the Eagles.

Some see the second half of 2004 as Moose catching fire but Jake was throwing him the ball. Moose has not approached those numbers in Chicago.

Some see 2005 as simply Smith being superman but Jake was part of that too.

Until this season he had never turned the ball over in the red zone. In most of the losses while he was playing we were very close to winning and in fact he led what would have been game winning drives in several of those had the defense held. When he went out we went from losing close games to getting blown out of the water.

If we could get Peyton Manning or Carson Palmer in here to replace Jake than fine do it but to kick Jake to the curb in favor of some journeyman like Damon Huard or Brad Johnson is just plain stupid.

I'm fine with you disagreeing. What I don't like is for you to pretend that Jake has been better than he has, or that people who think he hasn't been good enough are being unreasonable. You did both, which is why I decided to hand you your ass yet again. If you acknowledge the facts and still think Jake should be the quarterback of the teams, that's fine.
People should respect my knowledge, and should respect that I put in the time and effort to actually find these facts. If they still want to disagree, fine. I can't stop people from believing that Iran genuinely wants nuclear power for peaceful purposes, but what I'm not going to stand for is distortion of the facts or the abuse of people who have a legitimate point of view. If you want to argue with me about Iran or Jake or whatever, bring me some facts, otherwise I'm not interested in your opinion.
Sure, it makes you look dumb for saying something that anyone who actually did watch the games would know as false. Mangum doesn't stay in and help Bridges most of the time. Absolutely anyone can pop in a tape or fire up the old DVR to confirm that. For some reason, though, you're just making up a whole lot of nonsense that isn't true.
Dude, I just have you two high profile examples of us using it when you said we didn't use it at all. There are plenty of other examples of us using the slant from 2002 to 2005 as well, but those are two that easily came to mind since they were pretty memorable plays. You know, the types of plays anyone who watched the games should remember and therefore know enough not to say something stupid like "we didn't run slants under Henning before Keyshawn got here, by golly!"
Here again you're lying about what I said because you can't argue against my facts. You can't argue against the fact that Jake is the worst rated 3rd down passer in the league. You can't argue against the fact that the percentage of our 3rd downs from 3-7 yards is basically the same as it has been throughout Fox's tenure. You can't argue against the fact that our pass protection has been above average statistically. You aren't showing that you're capable of arguing against anything at all that I'm saying, you just come back with more whining, more accusations, and more lies. Kudos, dude. You aren't getting your ass kicked in this argument at all.

Jake is a mediocre NFL quarterback, who should get some legitimate competition in here for his job next year.....but Fox doesn't seem to adjust well when his game plan is faltering, so he'll hand the job to Jake and we'll miss the playoffs again next year.

Dude, for you of all people to be throwing words around like "stupid," you should really produce some actual facts and statistics that support your argument. I mean you are the one who said things that had already been disproven, correct? And you are the one who shows extreme difficulty in grasping pretty basic concepts. I already gave Jake credit for the games he won from 2003 to 2005, but you also need to acknowledge that he lost us a fair amount of games during that period with stupid interceptions too. But most importantly, you need to acknowledge that the 2003-2005 Jake is not the same guy we had behind center this season.

IMHO Jake would benefit from a full time QB coach and an OC who has his head stuck in somebodies butt. Henning puts in a position to screw up and when you have a gunslinger type of player he will make the mistake. I'm looking for an overhaul of the coaching staff. A RB coach who can teach Foster to hit the hole and stop zigzgging, an OC who realizes when the other team has made adjustments and a ST coach who bring back that lifeless bunch to where they were with Scotty O.

Are you saying you want Huard or Johnson or some other guy who has played for ten teams and had a couple of good games this year to replace Jake?

Thelt, I already answered that. I know, I know, you're slow. I should be patient and wait for you to get around to comprehending my position by sometime next week.
