    Just got back from my company Xmas party. One of the guys is an App. State grad. He's getting on a plane tomorrow at 7:00 am to fly to Chattanooga. Sounds like a blast.

    While I don't want ASU to ever make the jump to D1 football, I wouldnt snicker about the idea. Last time I checked the UNC program was still D1. Didnt it take a late game comeback for the Heels to beat a very average Furman team, one that didnt even make the D1 AA playoffs?

    I stand corrected... FU did make the playoffs, only to lose in the first round to Montana State. Which ASU took care of the following week.

    I think App could've beaten UNC this year and they only have 64 scholarships. If they moved up to D1-A they would get 21 more schollies. They could definitely be competitive. I guess you'd have to put App into the Sunbelt.
