Our NC Governor

What in the hell is wrong with our NC Governor? Earlier in the week the two Governors Of NC and MA placed calls to one another for a friendly wager on the App- UMass game. Mitt Romney of MA wagered a lobster clam bake with all the fixins. Sounds delicious. Governor Easley of NC wagered some Ashe Co Cheese, Blue Ridge Dried Fruits and some damn Cheerwine!!! Are you kidding me? That is a total embarrasment for our state. Hey Gov.....next time maybe a NC BBQ Rib feast with all the fixins may be better, and not make us look like a bunch of idiots. I'm sure Gov Romney is so disappointed that his Cheerwine won't be arriving.

i did watch the entire game and it was a slug-fest. apps o-line is absolutely one of the best coached groups i've seen in a while. and that freshman qb runs the spread beautifully. gotta feel for that umass qb, heart breaking story about his mom and all.

 

O Line is Awesome

I tell you what, you have never been more correct. That O line was the straw the stirs the Apps drink. I recorded the game on DVR while I watched, this morning I watched parts of it again. When you watch the O line and slow it frame by frame the schemes and discipline are incredible. I could not believe some of the holes they created. Three of those guys are back next year with Edwards, Richardson and receivers DexterJackson, Courman and the freshman Josh Johnson. On defense they do lose Murrell, O. Byrom and Wiggins, but back are DB's Corey Lynch, Woazeah and Touchstone, LB's Banks, Speer and Roman and up front Tharrington is back. ASU could be a force next year and even after that.

 

When is the last time a team who had a true freshman QB playing for most of the year win the National Championship. Bernie Kosar was a redshirt freshman in 1983 wasn't he? I know he is the last freshman redshirt to win a title in D1-A. What about a true freshman?
